CERLASE continues to innovate and to invent original and effective solutions to satisfy the needs of our clients. Convinced that technological competitiveness is an essential engine of the growth of our clients, CERLASE develops in close partnership the new technologies of tomorrow.
This collaborative approach with our business partners allows an optimum efficiency which is reflected in our results in innovations or technological breakthroughs, creating high value-added products for our clients.
One of the main strengths of CERALASE is to be able to realize all stages of a project internally, from the idea through to the manufacturing of the production machine.
From a feasibility study, CERLASE utilises the R&D engineers who develop the idea and follow the project until the industrial prototype.
The varied equipment installed in our R&D centre (ytterbium lasers 10 W & 50W, diode laser 350W, CO2 laser 25W & 200W, pressure casting machines 2 & 4 moulds, pad printing machines, screen printing, cut and drilling ytterbium laser 200W) allows CERLASE to answer effectively and quickly the needs of its clients.
The close cooperation with the surrounding laboratories (GEMH (Group of Study of the Heterogeneous Materials), SPCTS (Science of the Ceramic Processes and Surface treatment), XLIM (specialized Laser and Optics)) offer a unique scientific expertise and advanced equipment of analysis (ICP, granulometric laser, DRX, ATD-TG) as a supplement to the already present equipment to CERLASE (flow meter, colour measurement instrument).

The strategic outline defined by our R&D activities are:
Energy saving - thanks to the laser which generates localized heat treatment which in turn reduces greatly the energy consumption and thus the associated discharges to the atmosphere.
Laser marking - which provides, until now impossible opportunities in the field of marking onto substrates.
High pressure casting - optimization of slip properties and the pressure casting cycle for traditional ceramics and development of pressure casting techniques for technical ceramics (Al2O3, ZiO2, SiC…)
