Dielectric property
The use of ceramics for obtaining dielectric effect is frequent in industry. It is a mater of fact that a material is dielectric if it does not contain any electrical charges capable to move in macroscopic way. In other words, it is an environment which can not cunduct the electrical current. For this reason, it is called sometimes electrical insulator. Ceramics allow bringing good mechanical properties, a high chemical inertia, a broad range of capacities and a use up to high tensions. The laser, by its mode of located thermal treatment, makes possible independency to the coefficients of expansion and sintering of all types of materials on all types of substrates.

Thermal barrier
The fact of sintering a ceramics on a substrate (ceramic, glass or metal) with a higher coefficient of thermal conductivity allows creating an anisotropy of conductivity in material and so develop thermal barrier at level of the realised laser treatment.
